Junior Origin Series enters game 2

The second of the WRL 2019 Origin Series days takes place this Sunday 18th August at Abercwmboi RFC in Aberdare, Rhondda Cynon Taff.

The day will feature just two matches, U12 and U14. The under 16 Origin has now been postponed as most of the available players are now heavily involved with the Wales U16 squads who are preparing for matches on August 31st at Stebonheath Park.

East Wales are defending a 1-0 lead at both age-groups following the first round of games in Ystrad Mynach last month, East winning 28-12 at U12 level and 40-8 at U14.

This Sunday's U12 match kicks off at 10.30am with the U14 game starting at noon.

Admission is just £3 for adults, free for U16s.

Team lists will be posted here when known.

Peter Tiffin, WRL Development Manager, said: "It’s great to see so many events happening each weekend.

Following last Sunday’s successful Grand Finals day it’s now on to Junior Origin day two. On the first day, East managed to win well at both age grades. Hopefully this weekend, we will see a lot tighter games and continue to show the fantastic talent we have here in Wales."
