Around the Leagues: July 4-7

We take a look at how senior Wales internationals got on with their club sides in the latest Around the Leagues report.

In Super League, former captain Craig Kopczak, who has now retired from international rugby league, started for Wakefield Trinity in their 44-10 defeat at Catalans Dragons. 

Elliot Kear, Rhys Williams and Matty Fozard all featured for London Broncos in their 36-6 loss to Warrington Wolves, with the latter crossing for the only try of the second-half. 

Morgan Knowles and Regan Grace both scored tries in St Helens’ 40-12 win at Hull FC. 

Gil Dudson was at prop for Salford Red Devils’ 36-18 defeat at home to Huddersfield Giants. 

In the Championship, meanwhile, Jake Emmitt was an interchange for Leigh Centurions in their 24-20 loss at Featherstone Rovers.

Mike Butt, Rhodri Lloyd and Gavin Bennion were all in Swinton Lions’ side for their 20-18 success over Batley Bulldogs, with Lloyd and Bennion both getting on the scoresheet.

Dan Fleming started at prop for Halifax as they were beaten 34-12 at Toronto Wolfpack.

In League 1, Sam Hopkins featured for Workington Town in their 30-18 defeat at North Wales Crusaders. 

Ashley Bateman, Steve Parry, Morgan Evans and Chris Vitalini were all in West Wales Raiders’ side for their 72-0 loss at home to Doncaster. Liam Rice-Wilson, who was part of John Kear’s squad for last autumn’s European Championship and 2021 World Cup qualifiers, also had a run-out for the Raiders.

Over in Australia, Lloyd White was an interchange for Mackay Cutters in their 22-6 Queensland Cup defeat to the Blackhawks.
