Big month of March in Wales begins

It's a big week for Champion Schools in Wales as a busy month of March begins.

Just this week, there are four knock-out games in rugby league's largest competition.

On Tuesday 5th March, the road to Wembley continues for Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf year 7s as they take on St Peters in Cardiff (kick-off 1pm).

On Wednesday, it's the turn of the Cardiff school's year 8s as they host Rainford (kick-off 1pm). Also in the year 8s, St John Fisher are the visitors to Ystalyfera on Wednesday (kick-off 2.30pm) whilst Glantaf's year 10 travel to Howard of Effingham on Thursdsay (kick-off 2pm).

It's all part of a busy month of March that has already seen the first Development Day for 14-16 year olds where 54 children attended in Ystrad Mynach. West Wales Raiders and Coleg y Cymoedd were present to describe the pathway in Wales and there were onfield training sessions. The second of these days is ay Penlan RFC in Swansea on Saturday 23rd March and players can register for this here.

Later in the month, there will be University Cup semi-finals with a potential Swansea v Cardiff clash, two further coaching courses and more Champion Schools fixtures.
