Morgan Jeffries played rugby union locally in his native Bridgend as a youngster and spent some time on Ospreys books before switching to rugby league with Bridgend Blue Bulls. Then at aged 15, he played for the South Wales Scorpions under 15 side. He eventualy became one of only three players to have turned out for all ages levels and first team at the old South Wales club, making 16 senior appearances following his debut last year, scoring one try. He has also played community rugby league for West Wales Raiders. A member of the Commonwealth Championships side that won bronze in Glasgow four years ago, he was in the WRL AASE Academy and has also been capped for Wales at both under 16s and 18s level.
