Starting a Club

Starting a Club Starting a Club

So you want to get involved in running a Rugby League Club in Wales?

That's great news, but, it's not easy, so we here at Wales Rugby League try to make it as easy as possible for you to become part of our team!

From your first contact with us, to your first match in the conference, we will be supporting your development all of the way.

With advice readily available on structure, development, marketing, coaching, insurances and all other aspects of who to contact and how to go about it, Wales Rugby League's experienced Management Board will be on hand to ensure that all your questions are answered.

We will remind you of one thing, and that is, you only get out what you put in, so the more enthusiastic and hard working you are in starting your club, the more successful you will be in the long term!

Also, there is always plenty of advice on hand at our monthly clubs meetings, where you will be able to talk to people in who have been in the same situation you have been, so you're never alone!

In the first instance, please email the WRL Development Manager Idris Evans to discuss your ideas, and we can get the ball rolling on you setting up your own Rugby League club.
