New South Wales under 18 side launched and will take on North Wales in September
South Wales under 18 squad released for mini season
South Wales Ironmen have relaunched an under 18 side following their merger with West Wales Raiders.
The Ironmen did field an under 17 side earlier this season and they played three matches before the players went back to their community clubs.
Now the new board have been working hard to create a programme to fill the gap between under 17s and open age and to prepare them for selection process for the Wales under 18 side.
The new side will have four fixtures, with two of them being curtain raisers to Ironmen first team games.
Sunday 19th August v North West Lionhearts in Wigan.
Friday 25th August v London Skolars (a) before the Skolars v Ironmen Friday night lights fixture.
Wednesday 30th August v Midlands Hurricanes Academy in Coventry.
Saturday 9th September v North Wales Crusaders in Llanelli before the Big Welsh Derby in League 1.
The final fixture will be the ultimate Wales trial game with the best being in contention for selection for the Wales v England match on Saturday 16th September.
