Pegasus Homecare sponsor Dragonhearts

Main Sponsor for Germany Trip on Board

Wales Rugby League is proud to announce Pegasus Homecare as their primary sponsor for the upcoming Dragonhearts trip to Germany (17th - 23rd October).

Pegasus Homecare is a business that helps people who need care within their own homes and operates within Llanelli, Swansea and Carmarthen areas.  It is the brainchild of Diana Patterson and Andrew Thorne, owner of the West Wales Raiders.  Pegasus Homecare provides care and support for people who cannot wholly look after themselves in their own homes by going in and ensuring they are able to receive support to complete day-to-day tasks such as cleaning, cooking and shopping etc.

The Dragonhearts coaching staff as well as the WRL are very grateful to Andrew for offering to sponsor the team this year, Idris Evans, WRL National Development Manager commented:

“It’s wonderful to have the financial backing from Andrew to help with the Dragonhearts this year, this will greatly reduce the cost for player to go to Germany.  But it’s not just off the pitch Andrew is involved as he is also coaching the side and has done a great job in supporting the game for quite some time.”

Andrew Thorne added:

“I love to support rugby league in Wales in whatever way I can, I’m passionate about developing the game and giving people chances to play.  This trip will be a great opportunity for the Dragonhearts to test themselves as they play the full German side, I’m just glad I can be part of such a project.”

The Dragonhearts play Devon Counties this Sunday (2nd of October) at The Wern (home of the South Wales Ironmen) in Merthyr Tydfil in a final preparation game before the final 22-man squad is selected to travel to Germany in 2 weeks’ time.

The game kicks off at 2:30pm and is priced at £4 per adult and £2 concession (children, students and senior citizens).
